Trying to find a safe place for us and our families has been one of the human race’s most industrious activities even since “caveman age.”
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) surveyed 50 cities against 40 indicators to find the safest city in the world. The indicators covered four main crucial areas: digital security, health security, infrastructure safety, and personal safety. The final score for each city was out of 100.
According to the EIU new report, here are the top 10 safest cities in the world:

9. Melbourne, Australia – 78.67
8. Toronto, Canada – 78.81
7. Zurich, Switzerland – 78.84
6. Sydney, Australia – 78.91
5. Amsterdam, The Netherlands – 79.19
4. Stockholm, Sweden – 80.02
3. Osaka, Japan – 82.36
2. Singapore, Singapore – 84.61
1. Tokyo, Japan – 85.63
